The cause of most dog problems fall into one of two categories,
(1) Your dog doesn't know what to do because you haven't taught him or done it correctly (remember the wolves in the video?) or,
(2) Your dog has an emotional problem such as fear or anxiety. The most common emotional problem is reactivity also know as leash aggression. Emotional problems require different action steps than obedience.

Having a leash reactive or leash aggressive dog can be stressful, but it doesn't have to you. You CAN teach your dog to be calm when he see a trigger, such as a dog, but you need to follow a sequence of exercises to get a calm dog. Obedience commands and obedience won't work because they teach an action like sit, stay or come. Reactivity is caused by fear, and if your dog is fearful then he won't respond to obedience cues.
